Definition according to the municipal bylaw of
Sainte-Angèle-de-Mérici:

A rustic, single-room structure, excluding a privy,
intended to provide temporary accommodation in the forest
for persons engaged in outdoor, hunting, fishing, or
forestry activities, and meeting the following criteria:
a) The land must have a minimum area of 10 hectares;
b) No potable water supply;
c) The building must not rest on a poured concrete
foundation wall, nor have a cellar or basement;
d) The ground floor area (measured from the outside) must
not exceed twenty square meters (20 m²);
e) The building must not exceed one storey, and no part of
the roof may exceed an average height of six meters (6 m)
measured from the average ground level;
f) Only one shed and one dry toilet may be added as
complementary structures.
